Our History

We created the San Luis Foundation 24 years ago, with the vision of offering quality education to the children of Pronaca workers living in the communities surrounding the Bucay and Valle Hermoso operating centers.

In 1997, the San Juan de Bucay School was founded in the province of Guayas with 36 students, children of Pronaca collaborators.

In 2005, the San Pedro de Valle Hermoso School was founded in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas with 19 students, following the Bucay model.

Both schools now provide education services to 870 students, and have contributed 28 high school graduating classes to Ecuador.

The San Luis Foundation continues to work on its main line of action, which is providing quality education in rural areas.
